Yeah I enjoyed Batman: AA, it did a lot of different things as far as gameplay is concerned like the boss fights. For example the Scarecrow levels, the Croc fight, and some rock-climbing heavy areas (you know that one near the batcave). But it was deceptively shallow imo. I’m also glad that I just rented it smile

I love Batman: AA, but MUA2 will be good too. smile Thanks for the link, Hammy.

Edit: It doesn’t work, though.  grin

MUA2 seems like it’ll recieve pretty positive reviews, although it is early to judge.

I liked Batman AA just think it lacked fun. It was highly polished but the combat was repetitive, some of the boss fights and other parts of the game were very shallow and once you’ve tried everything there’s nothing really bringing you back. It was a good game for a single playthrough and definitely felt “epic” but it just wasn’t fun, colorful or exciting enough to keep drawing me in.

I agree. It had very little replay value. But luckily it has Challenge Mode! BTW, did you play it on hard? Hard mode is much more rewarding. I agree on boss fights too. Bane was a disappointment. Batman: AA is like a movie that is great and has cool extras, but doesn’t make you want to see it again. Maybe after three years. smile

I’m not so sure MAU 2 will be received as well as people think. I mean the story will be better, the combat about the same, Fusions could be hated or loved. The roster could well be hated or loved even though i love it. Still it’s debatable whether a lot of these thing bother the reviewers.

Exactly the same case I had with Metal Gear Solid, GTAIV (not online) and to a much lesser extent Bioshock.
But to be fair I am a sap for games which advertise fun over polish.
I enjoyed Saints Row 2 (singleplayer) much more than GTAIV even though the latter was a technically and certainly storywise superior game. I prefer games like Halo 3 which are a complete muddled mess of joy rather than the strategic Gears Of War, so this game is certainly going to appeal to me.

What Batman: AA got right was the story, acting, gameplay, sound, Batman and his world. I really felt like Batman. And that felt good. smile When Batman first enters the Batcave, I thought: “This game is more Batman than Batman himself.” smile I really enjoyed fighting and predator gameplay. Scaring the crap out of bad guys is fun! And of course story was epic. That last punch...
