Hi folks,
Stopping by work for a few hours today, so I figured I’d answer some questions while I’m here.
First off, to everyone who’s said they’re enjoying the game, thanks! I’m really glad you’re digging it.
Now, onto the questions!
AdamnessX - Can you re-phrase the question? I’m not sure what you mean.
Rinswind - I actually wasn’t in on the decision making process for Juggernaut, I’ll see if Dan has anything to say. I will say that when I first heard about it, I was a little skeptical, because in the comics he tends to traverse through fights rather than actually getting into them, so I wasn’t sure how we’d make him fun for the game while still making him true to the character. However, once I loaded him up into my game for the first time, I was won over. I guess that’s why I’m a narrative designer rather than powers designer.
As for who uses him on their team, I’m not sure! I think Jen mentioned him during our last round of interviews.
Loki54 - Hmm… That’s a tough one, because the ones I was hoping would return were already on the roster when I started working on the game (Deadpool and Iron Man). Personally I’d love to see The Spot, but I have a thing for c-list characters who die a lot. Due to his powers and lack of popularity, though, he never had a chance.
Londonmark: Gamestop has run out of site VIP codes, not Juggernaut codes; I had a full answer to this in the previous thread, but since I just closed that one down a couple nights ago, a lot of people probably hadn’t seen it. Re-posting:
It looks like there’s some confusion between VIP codes and Juggernaut codes. If you pre-ordered Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2, you are entitled for a Juggernaut code AND a VIP code. You should receive the Juggenaut code via an e-mail from GameStop. Everyone who has pre-ordered the game prior to 9.15.09 is entitled to a Juggernaut code. You receive a MUA2 VIP code on a slip of paper from GameStop stores. The codes that Gamestop has run out of are VIP codes for this site. We will be happy to send you a VIP code that you can use to get your VIP access to the MUA2 community. The Juggernaut codes need to come directly from GameStop. So if you send an e-mail to Gamestop customer service, make sure to specify that the code you need is for the Juggernaut Pre-Order Promotion.
gogetg - We’re keeping track of feedback but I don’t know what would or wouldn’t be in scope. :( That issue was brought up on the previous thread so we’re definitely aware of it, though.
beastfromtheeast - I’ll definitely be bringing you the proper info with ETAs as soon as I have it; if we have an announcement of this sort, I’ll definitely want to make sure it goes in the FAQ.
AndrewE - See above.
incredible_hulk 88 - Yup! That’s free stuff, we want you to be able to play with your friends.
T dog - Nope, you don’t lose anything, you’ll be keeping everything as you start over on Legendary. There’s no way to “lose” the things you’ve gotten as long as you make sure to save to a save slot and don’t overwrite your auto-save. Starting a new game doesn’t erase your old one.
bestfakehobo - For Sim Missions, we wanted to include a bunch of fun-to-play scenarios, some that spoke to core gameplay mechanics from the main game, but it was also a place we brought in some cool ideas we weren’t able to fit into the main levels (like the How Are De Ducks one). We opted not to go with Comic Missions because those focused on particular characters or sets of characters, and we wanted to make sure that all Sim Missions were accessible to everybody. Also, if you haven’t tried the Sim Missions in Co-Op I’d recommend it, it adds a lot to the experience.
Eldelsa01 - I don’t know what the scope of DLC is, but any of those things are possible.
Gambit1024 - 1. I believe auto-upgrading kicks back in after 5 level-ups without editing a
character. Not sure how it’s handled for characters who aren’t in the active team.
2. Heroic Deeds should work in Sim Missions, I don’t think we set up deliberate limits on where they would or wouldn’t.
3. My favorite female is probably Songbird at this point. Invisible Woman’s still got a spot on my team, though.
Psylocke4DLC & Jaymeorjme - Thanks for letting me know, I’ll make sure that gets passed on. Personally I don’t know what the status is there.
Empath fan - We probably wouldn’t do another game just on Civil War, especially not one that removed Secret War because the events of that arc lead up to Civil War in a very concrete way. This was our big Civil War game; we’d probably want to tackle something new if we get the chance to do another one. EDIT for your more recent post: Yeah, Skrulls could definitely be a candidate. I’m not high enough up on the totem pole to say whether we’d do it or not, though.
Boy Banshee - Any deviations from concept to costume were definitely intentional, I’ll see if I can get one of the artists to cover why this change was made.
AdamnessX - Ack, I have no idea on regions for codes. Maybe? Regardless, after you download him it stays with your XBOX, so it shouldn’t matter as long as you use the code when you get it. If I get any more information on this I’ll let you know.
Okidoke, I gotta scoot. See you all on Monday!
