Yeah they almost definitly did it for pacing reasons, which is fine ,though I think a simple get close enought to point X triggers the cutscene instead would have been better. Still only a mild annoyance that will hopefully be corrected in the next game.

Well...since VV isn’t really running the website, it’s probably not something he can find out by just asking someone in the building.  He has to email someone (Dr. T maybe?), then get an answer, then he can answer the question.  Takes a little time, especially if who he emailed hasn’t gotten back to him.

This is probably the type of question that should be asked in the website feedback forum...since the people who actually put the content on the site probably pay more attention to that section than any other.

Just my opinion.

are you afraid to answer about if there is around 8 dlc? or because you can’t? because it sounds we are going to get like 4 new characters and juggy as dlc. and if that is the case alot of people woundn’t want to waste their time on VV’s little reveal games.

More than likely that is the type of information that is being revealed on IGN tomorrow...so he CAN’T answer.  If it is NOT revealed tomorrow, maybe then you should try to ask this question again.

I wasnt looking for an immediate response and didnt think it sounded that way from the question. Plus I figure that since News was the one making the announcement about it being released yesterday that he would be the one to ask and your post really belongs in this thread IMO.

Ok, Newslad I do have some questions about the secret character: Even if it tested well with people that were brought in than why was it not considered what the reprecussions would be when the character was put in the game for the general public? Was the thoughts that everyone would like it or what?

I think it was considered what the “repercussions would be”.  That was the purpose of the test goup. If they like it (provided the test group covers the intended target audience) then there is a good chance that the general public will also like it.  Based on the general public’s opinion of the secret character (at least a good majority) the test group didn’t end up being a good predictor of the general public.

I don’t think they give them (whoever “them” is - a VV company employee who happens to be a member of those boards?) roster info with the intention that it will get leaked.  Leaks are not a planned thing that VV can “stop doing”. (unless its some crazy viral marketing campaign to create hype, but we won’t get into those weird conspiracy theories)

I know we’re all tired of leaks and the mess it causes on the forums but I don’t think asking News Lad to stop “giving certain people at MarvelMods or Superherohype sensitive roster and DLC info” is going to do much. (even if your comment was more of a joke)

Yes, I know but it was also mentioned about Black Panther instead of Doom. I like BP but dont think he is right for the first pack. The first pack they need to have many of the fan favs so that VV knows it will sell like hotcakes. Carnage, Cable, Psylocke are three but really Magneto and Doom or BP are worth putting in the first pack?

You talk about the leaked list as if it has been announced.  While the chances of the list being real are somewhat good, I think we should wait until we hear at least a few more reveals before predicitng how well it will sell.

newslad i dont know if anyone else has said this but a lot of the first powers we have access to at the beginning of the game(rapid tap powers) become useless on tougher dificulties like legendary which is a shame becasue we only get four powers to begin with…

I haven’t noticed that on a lot of characters but have you used Songbird’s rapid tap when it is leveled up?  It is insanely powerful.

I can tell you this already no it will not have that feature or else they would have programmed it in the first place and probably would be difficult to put it in the patch as it would change a number of things. Also it is typical that we cant get straight answers from Newslad about DLC, I dont know why we even bother about asking him anything about the DLC when all we will get it “I cant talk about DLC!” What is the point to have DLC if you cant talk about it? This is not the core game and Dan T did say that the same rules dont apply for DLC for the reveals as it does for the core game.
