I’m going to go ahead and speculate that it’s MUA3.  When Raven had the franchise they released a game a year because they built their engine up from the first game and just kept improving on it:
2004-XML
2005-XML2
2006-MUA

With Vicarious Visions taking over, they took 3 years to ‘make it from scratch’ and can now take their work from MUA2 to more easily create a MUA3.

What do you think?  or is it just DLC?

I don’t know man, end of 2010 could spell MUA3. Raven did 1 game a year every fall for 3 years and those games all rocked!  Who knows?

MUA2 Gold?

A new game most probably. The first DLC pack for this game hasn’t even been released yet, so definitely not another DLC pack.

Perhaps X-Men Legends 3 or an Avengers game to correspond with the release of the movie.

Obviously DLC, they wouldn’t announce MUA3 THIS SHORTLY after the MUA2 they worked three years on came out.

I’d imagine it’s one of those expansions that adds a few new features that you question why they weren’t in the core game whilst adding on a fun new story to play through.

Like The Force Unleashed:Ultimate Sith - A rewarding Bad Guy experience
Fallout 3:Broken Steel - An Endgame
Oblivion:Shivering Isles - Memorable characters that don’t share a voice actor with EVERY OTHER CHARACTER (Sheogorath and Haskill)
Disgaea 3:Raspberyl Power Of Love - Playable Aurum and A way to store students
and to a lesser extent Halo 3 ODST

I’m sure it’ll be something like
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2:Secret Invasion
or
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2:Battle Of Galactus

and it will probably add 7 characters, among them Cyclops, Punisher, Dr. Strange, and Silver Surfer.

If it is a MUA3, I hope that the Owning The Prior Game thing does an unlock and that the unlock is having everyone from MUA2. Seriously.... I’m tried of MUA/XML sequals taking the sensible choices from the roster like Psylocke or Dr. Strange, and replacing them with moronic choices like Iron Man (who has NOTHING to do with X-Men and feels grossly out of place) and Penance (Who… honestly has got to be a joke)
