Post your questions for News Lad (Community Manager and developer at Vicarious Visions) here.

For previously answered questions you can visit the FAQs:

FAQ Part One
FAQ Part Two

Many thanks to the always-excellent beastfromtheeast for those.

You can also read through the 300+ pages of the other Questions for VV threads:

Questions for VV 1
Questions for VV 2
Questions for VV 3

The first two threads were started by Jadryx and X_Man, respectively! Jadryx also set up the great page format we’re reading now.

Some things to keep in mind for this thread:

Please Stick To Questions
-Try to keep on topic (asking and answering questions). If you have comments on a post, don’t put them here, those should go in the Questions Tangent Thread.

No Spammage
-If I don’t get to your question in my post, feel free to ask again, but please don’t spam the thread. Beastfromtheeast’s Question asking etiquette guide is a great reference to use as well.

Console Specific
-I can only answer questions that related to Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 on Playstation 3 and XBOX 360, as those are the only versions I worked on. Please refer to the other forum topics for information on the Wii, DS, PS2, or PSP versions.

No Spoilers!
-To avoid ruining the plot for new players, please use Spoiler Text if you want to ask about anything in Act 3 of the game, including all commentary regarding the Secret Character.
Making Spoiler text is easy: just set the color of your text to “black,” so people need to highlight your text in order to read it.

Example here:
Oh man, you’re totally reading spoiler text! End Example.

Spoiler posts that DON’T use Spoiler Text will be deleted, and repeat offenders may be banned.

Thanks everybody!  Looking forward to hearing from you. smile

Thanks for the info News Lad.  I guess it makes sense not to pick a winner for the “coolest villian” mission - I was thinking the winner would be someone who submitted the most creative or most persuasive entry (not really based on who they wrote about).  I tried to make my entry for the super developer heroics mission doable on an extremely low budget wink !

Emma Frost Fan 50 - No idea but I hope it’s doing well!
2.  No idea on this one either.
3.  Yup, we’ll be counting Juggernaut. Any purchaseable downloadable content is counted.  On a personal note, I’m really glad we got to make him DLC—I was worried that a lot of late adopters were going to miss out on crashing around in the levels.
4.  Whether or not Emma Frost has a shot depends entirely on fan support. As Kalina had said, us company folks like her a lot, and she’s got vocal fans, but in the past she’s placed fairly low on the polls.  If we put up a poll about any more DLC characters, make sure to vote for her.  Also, tell Marvel you want her as MUA2 DLC—that’s one of the best ways to raise her chances of getting in, because Marvel has a very strong “say” in whether we get to make any more DLC. If demand for one particular character is what tips the scales in favor of more DLC, that character is sure to get in.

Thanks a lot for the answer news Lad, my confidence of another pack is high Juggernaut is 6 in the top 20 for PSN!!Hopefully the DLC pack gets in the top as well, as for Emma Frost thanks for the response, and good thing people are fighting for her too=)

Londonmark - Not sure about the team that’s best for that Sim.  Any of our veterans want to give Londonmark tips on how to score gold in Adrenaline?

It’s alright now Crimson Spider and his Brothers are going to help me with that simulator disk.

Legendary: Ahh, I see what you mean now, you were talking about starting New Games from the start menu.  Yeah, that won’t carry over.  Sorry about that—we actually put a lot of work into communicating what was going on in that last hub after the boss fight (the text that appears went through a number of drafts, and we went back and forth on how the hub should function), but it looks like the format still caused some confusion.  Another thing on our list to re-examine if we get another game.  tongue laugh

Really well i shall have to get you guys back for confusing me. tongue rolleye

To be more specific posting ideas in this blog would be a good choice. Since there’s already alot of very good ideas over there already. Ideas for things like an Avgengers game, A Dardedevil game, XML3, and MUA3 have all been posted.

Just wanted to say thanks News Lad for giving the fans other avenues to show their support.  It’s always good to know the best places to get noticed for the right reasons wink

If Emma gets in, I hope she has something to make her unique. We already have two psychic X-ladies and the following suggestion is pretty much the only way that I’d get excited for her:

Have diamond form as an active power that essentially turns her into a tank while active. It would block her psychic attacks, but allow for the first time a character that can change classes during gameplay.

I think one of my problems with the first DLC pack was that although each character had at least one cool move, it really didn’t add any options to gameplay. They weren’t necessarily clones of other characters, but they also didn’t open any new doors. I ended up getting maybe a couple hours worth of replay value.

I know you guys aren’t really into shaking up the foundations too much at this point, but apart from Hawkeye (who adds a versatility with his trick arrows that few others have), all of the characters I’d want for DLC would dramatically add to gameplay (ie Wasp, Multiple Man, Kitty Pryde, Loki, Cloak & Dagger, Doctor Octopus, etc.) I know this means you’re not likely to add them in due to programming time and possible difficulties, but this idea for Emma is a pretty good middle-ground.

They’ve already ruled out Wasp, Multiple Man, Shadowcat, and Doctor Octopus.

...thus me stating it was unlikely. What exactly was your point?

The same goes for Black Cat. Dan T ruled her out on twitter before the game came out and after Iceman was revealed.

Hey Newslad! Do you guys consider making a Gold edition to MUA2, featuring all DLC characters from the first pack and possibly future ones?

Ps- Don’t give up on pushing the UPDATED FANKIT!

Lets find out first if they are going to make another DLC pack BEFORE we can start wondering about a Gold Edition.
